The Position: We are a growing company looking to add to our Service Department Our ideal candidate for this job would be someone who has 1-3 years in a repair related field who is looking to grow their skillset and advance to the next level. The pay range we’re offering starts at $20-$26 per hour ($41k-$54k), commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

  • Must demonstrate the ability to repair and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical (High & Low Voltages) concepts
  • Understand the basic principles of Sensors, Switches, Relays, Servos, & PLC’s
  • Ability to work in challenging and time-sensitive situations
  • 1-3 years in a maintenance setting or trade school degree/certificate
  • Valid driver’s license (Company vehicle provided)

Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily field service repairs on customers’ packaging equipment
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to achieve company goals
  • Complete large machine installation projects with Service Manager/Technician II
  • Perform planned maintenance on customers’ equipment
  • Complete service tickets at the end of each service call
  • Work directly with customers to resolve equipment issues
  • Be a key support in completing the 4-business hour service guarantee
  • Obtain parts information and Purchase Orders to aid in completing repairs
  • Work diligently with Service Coordinator to schedule and complete calls
  • 40-hour work weeks, OT as needed and optional
  • Less than 5% overnight travel, home daily
  • Travel of up to 8 Hours of driving daily using company vehicles

 

 

About the Manager: Your manager is still an active field service tech who is regularly in the field working on the same equipment that you would be servicing. With his 12+ years of field service experience he would be mentoring you to advance your skills and gain market knowledge by completing a 90-120 day training program. After the training has been completed, he will be available for in-house tech support at any time in the event you need someone to be a sounding board for troubleshooting.  Your manager enjoys working with the team on larger machine repair projects and installations.
